About the university
Shizuoka Welfare University opened in 2004. The existing Shizuoka Welfare Information Junior College is changed to Shizuoka Welfare College Junior College Department and the Faculty of Social Welfare is newly established. The Faculty of Children was established in 2015. The school festival is called "Blessed Fresh Festival" and it is held at Yaizu City campus. At the outdoor stage, live performances by students and teachers as well as performers' live performances and dances are held, and the campus is crowded all day. In addition to shops and bazaars, nursing care experience corners unique to welfare universities are also set up. In the "Shizuoka Welfare University Self Evaluation Report" of June 2009 (2009), the university clearly stated its personality and character as "human-education education and community welfare activities that train" welfare ability ".
