Shogen Junior College is a private university in Japan, headquartered in Minokamo, Gifu Prefecture. It was established in 1955. Based on the spirit of Zen, Shogen Junior College is actively promoting the acceptance of social students in particular, and is focusing on acquiring Buddhist culture such as tea ceremony , shakuhachi and pottery . There were courses "International Zen Studies" and "Japanese Culture", but now it is only "Zen and Human Studies". In subjects called "Zen and Food Culture", seminar food practice is adopted. Recruitment for students has been held not only in April but also in October , and there are things that are rarely seen in junior colleges throughout the country, such as incorporating a long-term course system so that they can learn while working. Therefore, diverse students including social students and elderly people are enrolled.
