Shonan Institute of Technology is a private university in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1961. Two years later it was chartered as a university. This university is a traditional engineering college celebrating 56 years since its opening. The undergraduate department is the only department of engineering and has 6 departments of 3 departments of the infrastructure (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Information Engineering) and three departments of applied system (Computer applied department, General design department, Human environment department). The merit of small scale college is the thoroughness of governance and speed of realization. Education speedily improves reform so that you can wear three elements of academic ability in a well-balanced manner. The campus of our university is gathered in the place of Shonan Fujisawa, 800 meters beyond the Shonan coast, you can see Enoshima immediately on your left and you can see magnificent Mt. Fuji on the right. Because of the scenic district, all of the school buildings are below the 4th floor and there is no need to wait for the elevator in the high school building. You can smoothly move to any classes in the beautiful campus where palm trees were planted. In addition, under the sunshine of Shonan, a food terrace which can eat and talk with, and many table benches are arranged, and a relaxing mood fills the green campus. After graduating from undergraduate, you can proceed to graduate school of engineering consisting of 2 majors (mechanical engineering, electric information engineering). Each major has a postgraduate course (master) and a doctoral course. The actual employment rate is higher than 90% in finding employment.
