About the university
In 1937 in the city of Alma-Ata, a training unit of the Kazakh Civil Aviation Administration was established. In 1962, on the basis of UTO Kuga, the training and consulting center of the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers was organized. On July 6, 1995, the training and consulting center of the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation engineers acquired the status of a higher educational institution as a non-profit educational institution "Academy of Civil Aviation". In 2012, the Academy carried out its activities on the basis of: 1) the charter of JSC Academy of GA on November 11, 2006; 2) The state license issued by the Control Committee in the field of education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 03.02.10. № 01377394 series AB for the law of educational activities in the field of higher and postgraduate education without a time limit; 3) state license dated 02.10.09. № 0103347 series AA-5 for conducting educational activities in the field of technical vocational education. Currently, the Academy is headed by the Chairman of the Board - rector Bayzhumanov Mukhtar Kazbekovich. Educational activity in the Academy is carried out by full-time form, by correspondence in the form of reduced educational programs and with the use of distance educational technology. Training is conducted in the state and Russian languages. Multilingual groups with teaching of disciplines and in English are created.
