About the university
The Kazakh-British Technical University JSC is a scientific and educational cluster that unites the university, research and development institutes, which ensures a close interconnection of the innovation, research and educational blocks, as well as the real integration of science and education - production. KBTU has become the new leader of higher technical education in Kazakhstan, carrying out scientific research both for the basic branches of the economy and in the field of High-Tech. Providing training of specialists for the world's largest companies that invest in the Kazakhstan economy, KBTU is the winner of the Intercontinental Cup of Intellectual Olympiads. Thanks to fluency in English and knowledge of modern information technology, university graduates have proven themselves in foreign investor companies. In 2009, KBTU became the first domestic university to receive international accreditation of its engineering programs in the UK. The University strives for further integration into the world educational space and takes an active part in international academic rankings. Being the best technical university of Kazakhstan in 2010 and 2011, KBTU has become a member of the American Association AACSB, having applied for international accreditation of programs in the field of economy and finance.
