About the university
In 1966, the Aktyubinsk Pedagogical Institute was founded, which consisted of two faculties (physics, mathematics and philology), where 250 people studied in physics and mathematics, Russian language and literature, Russian language and literature in Kazakh schools. In 1990, the institute was named after the first Kazakh professor-linguist Kudaibergen Zhubanov. On May 7, 1996, by the Resolution of the Government of Kazakhstan No. 573, the institute was reorganized into the Aktubinsky University named after K. Zhubanov. January 31, 2001 the university received the status of "state". On February 3, 2004 the reorganization of ASU named after K. Zhubanov with its separation from the Aktobe Pedagogical Institute took place. August 29, 2013 there was a merger of Aktobe State University. K. Zhubanov and the Aktyubinsk State Pedagogical Institute, as a result, the Aktyubinsk Regional State University began functioning. K.Zhubanov.
