About the university
Kazakh Asdendiyarov National Medical University (KazNMU) is the first and leading medical university in Kazakhstan, from all available. It was opened in 1930. By the decree of the President of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev in 2001 "On granting a special status to certain state higher educational institutions" the university received the status of Kazakh National Medical University.
