About the university
March 24, 1998. - Kyzylorda Polytechnic Institute named after A.Sh. I.Zhakhaev by merging with the Kyzylorda Humanitarian University. Korkyt Ata was reorganized into Kyzylorda State University. Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University named after Korkyt Ata is one of the leading centers of education, science and culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides training of competitive specialists with modern higher and postgraduate education, focused on solving the problems of intensive development of the most important areas of economy, engineering, agriculture, education, science and Culture, and contributes to the industrial and innovative development of the region and Kazakhstan as a whole.
