About the university
Kenya Institute of Applied Sciences was incepted in July, 2002 to offer courses in Applied Sciences. KIAS is a fully registered training institution by the Ministry of Higher Education Science & Technology No. MOHEST/PC/1187/09, Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board Reg. No. E004, London Centre of Marketing and Institute for the Management of Information Systems. The objective of Kenya Institute of Applied Sciences is to promote, encourage, and improve the practice and all operations and expedients connected with applied sciences, and to give an impulse to ideas likely to be useful in connection with or in relation to such science and practice for the benefit of the community and mankind at large. KIAS is committed to producing and encouraging continuous improvement in our students and graduates. This is an idea, which is increasingly getting prominence and has been useful in contributing to the practice of applied sciences. Students will find this concept of continuous improvement of immense value at both certificate and diploma levels.
