About the university
Politeknik Kota Bharu began operations in 1985 in a temporary campus at Sekolah Menengah Teknik Pasir Mas, Bunut Susu, Kelantan. Politeknik Kota Bharu has moved to its permanent campus in 1988 in Kok Lanas, Ketereh. At its inception, the number of students is 400 people with 44 lecturers. PKB now has 5567 students and 480 academic staff and 127 non-academic staff. The main generator of innovative human capital through education and training to meet the transformational global workforce by 2015. Break through the border to build a transformative and creative learning environment towards generating innovation-led economy.
