About the university
Politeknik Metro Kuala Lumpur is a 28 polytechnic established under the management of Polytechnic Education Department, Ministry of Higher Education. Politeknik Metro Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's first metro Polytechnic. Starting with a temporary campus at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur Polytechnic Metro has moved to its permanent campus in Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur on July 1, 2011. The Opening Ceremony and Launch Metro MOHE Polytechnic was held on July 21, 2011 improved by the minister of Higher Education at the time, Dato 'Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin. Politeknik Metro Kuala Lumpur has two academic departments, namely the Department of Commerce and Department of Tourism and Hospitality. Courses offered under the Department of Commerce is a Diploma in Retail Management. While the Department of Tourism and Hospitality offers two programs, namely Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering offered up session in June 2015 and a Diploma in Hotel Management offered from December 2015 session.
