About the university
In 1976, the Ministry of Public Education, through the Directorate General of Normal Education, founds numerous Normal Experimental Schools throughout the country (more than 40). This program was launched under the following premises: To create Normal Schools in marginalized areas, with students who live in their homes practically, avoiding expenses of public treasury that would mean investments in care programs such as boarding schools, as well as to avoid greater responsibilities to the schools due to the constant presence of internal students. From these schools they would graduate teachers with roots in their places of origin, avoiding the constant mobility of teachers at the end of each school year.
