About the university
In the early 1970s, the need to hire a large number of teachers occurred in Chiapas, during the term of Governor Dr. Manuel Velasco Suárez (1970-1976), because Educational plan of President Luis Echeverría Alvarez, it was decreed the extension of the coverage of Primary Education in the Rural Areas and some urban areas of the entity, reason why the Secretary of Public Education of the State Government, as well as of the Federation, called on all career teachers to go to these authorities to be hired to grant them a place of base. In those years there were not in the State the number of career teachers that were needed for the places offered with very good salaries, but a large number of citizens with the need of a job. Faced with this situation, the ingenuity of some and the naivety of others, provoked a wave of falsification of titles and / or official documents that proved to have attended secondary, preparatory or else the career of Professor in Primary Education, because it was the custom of the time.
