About the university
The Organic Law that instituted the Higher Normal School pointed to the adoption of the 1976 Study Plan authorized by the National Technical Education Council. Initially the courses of degrees of mathematics, Spanish and natural sciences were authorized. Later it was extended with the degrees of social sciences, foreign language (English-1977) and school orientation (1977). Each specialty comprised 48 study subjects, which included those corresponding to the common trunk and the specialty, both for the regular regular course and for the semi-open course. The first one was integrated by eight semesters in four years; The second for twelve semesters studied in six intensive periods during the summer.
