About the university
The National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) belongs to the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). The ENAH is the institution that has contributed most to the teaching of anthropology in Mexico and Latin America, with a strong presence in the international context. Its origin, in 1938, is in the Department of Anthropology of the School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute. Created in 1939 the National Institute of Anthropology and History, and in 1946, the School received its present name. The main objectives of the ENAH are professional education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; Research and dissemination of culture in the fields of anthropology and history, as well as the teaching of indigenous languages; As well as to disseminate and socialize the knowledge learned and generated, making it available not only to specialists, but also to society as a whole. The ENAH offers careers that allow us to enter the disciplinary dimension that deals with studying the human phenomenon in all its complexity, as well as recognizing its diversity over time and across the space. Currently, seven undergraduate and five graduate programs are being developed.
