Technological Institute of Reynosa began its activities in higher education facilities Technology Center, No.71 Industrial Studies and Services, the September 5, 1988, with 165 students enrolled in specialized engineering careers, Electronic Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering, under the direction of Chemical Engineer, Juan Jose Espinoza Rosales.
