About the university
The León Technological Institute is an institution of Mexican higher education that depends organically and functionally of the Federal Government and that contributes to the generation and transmission of the scientific and cultural knowledge. It is based on the implementation of its activities, in the Constitution and in the political guidelines of the Federal Government, mainly of the plans and programs emanated from the Secretariat of Public Education. As well as in the purpose of contributing to the development and progress of society. The Technological Institute of Leon, depends directly on the General Directorate of Higher Technological Education and the Undersecretariat of Higher Education, both dependent on the Ministry of Public Education. Under this Institutional framework, the overall objective of the Technological of León is to "achieve the real and effective linkage of the Institute in the social, political, economic and productive aspects of the region."
