About the university
"Bringing the UNAM to Ozumba", which, at one point was a disproportionate idea, began to materialize in 1995 when the incorporation to the UNAM of Alzate College was achieved and reaffirmed in 2000 when the Alzate University Of Ozumba. All this on the initiative of a group of people with vision, to achieve this goal. Nowadays, besides the baccalaureate, it has the careers of Administration, Architecture, Law, Psychology, Pedagogy and Law (University Open System). And from the school year 2015-2016 education is provided at the secondary level and the degree in nursing. Having the UNAM in Ozumba means that the students who are trained in this institution no longer see the need to use five or six hours a day just to move to a Faculty or School of UNAM to study. It also represents a great challenge because it must comply with the strict requirements that the DGIRE requires to train students and professionals with the same academic level of any University Faculty.
