About the university
On October 19, 1981, before the presence of government authorities and members of the community, the inaugural declaration of the Technological Institute of Mexicali was carried out. The Institute was born with the degrees of Electrical Engineering in Control, Industrial Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering in Electronics, with 354 enrolled students. Its manufacture was of a building of two levels with classrooms, a laboratory of Chemistry and a building of multiple uses. At present, the institution offers to the community 9 professional careers, 3 masters and a specialization in the postgraduate area, has 42 classrooms, 7 laboratories, 3 audiovisuals, multipurpose rooms, an information center and an academic unit, To attend a population of 3 thousand undergraduate and graduate students.
