About the university
The Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Design AC, appeared in 1995 as a need for BUAP to give solution to the demand so strong existing in the careers of Architecture and Graphic Design and that, based on a problem of quota and Physical space it was impossible to attend the students who requested to enter such careers. This is how the IES emerges as an alternative to offer with a high level of didactic and pedagogical quality the same academic programs and services offered by BUAP. In 1998 the IES offered two more degrees as part of its academic load: lic. In Communication Sciences and lic. In Computer Science, these programs helped once again to solve the existing demand for these areas of study.
