About the university
The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA), created on June 19, 1973, has its origins in the Autonomous Institute of Science and Technology, founded in 1867, which offered only the secondary and preparatory levels. In 1968 they began the courses of Public Accountant and Business Administration, besides the technical careers of Nursing and Social Work, to which were added the first programs of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine. With institutional development and social needs, the UAA has been increasing its educational offer. By 2014, with the expansion of educational programs, the UAA offers 65 undergraduate academic programs, of which 14 are engineering and 51 are bachelor's degrees; In addition it offers 14 medical specialties in coordination with Health institutions in the state; A distance specialty, 16 masters and 10 doctorates.
