About the university
At the end of the decade of the 70's, the Association of Professionals of Nuevo Casas Grandes, initiates the procedures to install the first Institution of Higher Education in the Northwest of the State. Beginning operations in 1980 as an extension of the Technological Institute of Ciudad Juárez, under the modality of open system and in 1986 it is possible to change to school system, offering the degrees of Degree in Administration, Degree in Accounting and Industrial Engineering in 1988. In response to the demands of the DGIT, the specialties are implemented each race, being these: Business Development, Finance and Quality and Productivity in Manufacturing, respectively. For 1994 the INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO SUPERIOR DE NUEVO CASAS GRANDES was born as a decentralized public body, subsidized by the Federation and the State, whose head of sector is the current Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
