About the university
For the region of the Papaloapan Basin, the creation of the Technological Institute has meant a great achievement to its credit, since it has laid the foundations for the future development of the region and is the opportunity for many young people to reach higher education. It was a June 7, 1997 memorable day commemorating freedom of expression, when the Constitutional Governor of the State of Veracruz made public the establishment of the INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO SUPERIOR DE COSAMALOAPAN to the media. The first call for young people who aspired to study at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Cosamaloapan was published in the newspaper on August 8, 1997. The call is also communicated through radio stations XEQO and XEFU to Beginning on Saturday, August 9, Sunday, August 10, the Free Expression Program of the Radio Station was attended to comment on the contents of the Call. As of August 11, 1997, the process of issuing cards for the admission exam begins. 213 applications for new entry were received, of which 193 new entry students, 100 in Computer Science Degree and 93 in Industrial Engineering were enrolled.
