About the university
In 1990 , the Ministry of Public Education undertook a study on new options for higher education, in which the experiences of some countries such as Germany , the United States , France , Great Britain and Japan were analyzed . Based on this study, it was decided to carry out a specific project to define a pedagogical model that would create a new option for higher education. As a consequence of the above, a superior technological education system was designed that would serve the productive sector of goods and services, as well as society in general, and at the same time, expand the expectations of young Mexicans. The Technological University of the State of Zacatecas was created in 1998 at the request of the Government of the State of Zacatecas and by agreement with the federal government. At the beginning, it offered the TSU careers in Computing, TSU in Commercialization and TSU in Industrial Maintenance.
