About the university
The school is developing a prestige for comprehensive education offered and goes beyond mere scientific knowledge, characterized by the human and Christian values it promotes. By February 1945, the secondary school is offered to the 14 graduates of the sixth year and three years later, in February 1948, the baccalaureate. Until 1952, Fr. López continued to lead the institution, at which time he gave the address to Fr. Manuel Vázquez Montero, who remained in office for a decade and in 1957 began the process to militarize the so-called Christopher Columbus College and The Mexican Navy, securing the approval of the draft regulation by the General Command of the Navy of Mexico on October 4, 1958. As of 1961, this system ceases to be valid in the school, even though the Discipline continues to distinguish it.
