About the university
Cuauhtémoc University is a private institution founded in 1977 by Francisco Martínez Briones in the city of Puebla de Zaragoza, Mexico. Later it opened other establishments in the cities of Queretaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí and Guadalajara. It is a secular university. His pedagogical method is based on constructivism. It is also an institution based on Mexican patriotism. It is one of the few private universities in the Mexican Republic that impart medical sciences. It is divided academically in coordinations by areas of the knowledge. Its name owes to Cuauhtémoc, last emperor of the Aztecs and defender of its town.
