About the university
The Motolinia University was founded on June 29, 1918 by Mother Dolores Echeverría Esparza. It begins as Kindergarten and gradually grows, forming sequentially Primary, Secondary, High School and University; From then until 1942 it is known as Instituto Científico Motolinía, in this year it takes as its headquarters the current building, located in the Colonia Del Valle Cd. In 1943 he was recognized as a university by the then Rector of UNAM, Mr. Rodolfo Brito Foucher, thus authorizing the start of activities to the Departments of: Philosophy, History, Letters and Education Sciences and the beginning of the career of Chemist- Pharmaceutical-Biologist.
