About the university
The Gestalt University is the evolution of the Institute of Guestalt Psychotherapy (IPG) and the result of three decades of work, study and development of Gestalt Psychotherapy, as well as its philosophy. The IPG, founded by Dr. Hector Salama in 1983, was the only institution recognized by Laura Perls, mother of Gestalt Psychotherapy. It was also the first school to disseminate and develop academically the Gestalt approach in Mexico and in the world. It has the first recognition in the world for the Master's Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy and for the Doctoral Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Gestalt Philosophy, as well as the Degree in Humanistic Psychology (first in Mexico).
