About the university
The University of Las Américas, Civil Association (UDLA, AC) is a university institution that was founded in 1940 under the name of Mexico City College (MCC) and in the sixties changed its name first to that of the University of the Americas and later By the University of the Americas, AC, which holds until the present. Since its foundation it has occupied different facilities. First, rented buildings in the Roma colony of Mexico City in the 1950s and later an 8-hectare campus on the Mexico-Toluca highway. In the 1970s he moved to a new campus in the state of Puebla, where in 1985, when the Mexican teachers' council decided to relocate it to Mexico City and to separate from the group of American professors and managers who decided to continue in the Campus of Cholula (Puebla) and decided to divide the institution into two different: the University of the Americas Civil Association and the University of the Americas Foundation of Puebla.
