About the university
The Marist University of Mérida was founded in May 1996 at the request of a group of Brothers and Marist alumni, the Marist University of Merida has been consolidated as one of the main academic and social options of the Peninsula with more than 2,000 students, 300 teachers and fully accredited by Fimpes (Federation of Mexican Institutions of Higher Education). The mission of the Marist University of Mérida is to educate young university students with the Marist educational charism of: simplicity, family atmosphere, prolonged presence with students, love of persevering work based on trust in Mary, a task shared by brothers and lay professionals And apostolically, through the substantive functions of teaching, research, extension and service and community development.
