About the university
The University of Quintana Roo is the youngest academic center of this type in México. Its creation responds to an old desire of Quintana Roo to have a higher education center to train professionals in social areas, humanities, basic sciences and technological areas of greatest demand and consumption in this age of high competitiveness. Its creation gathered the invaluable, accumulated experience in the last seventy years of higher education and innovative concepts were incorporated in order to make it a university of excellence in Mexico and the Caribbean.
