Technical University of Coahuila

It was on February 21, 1995, when officials of the State Government met for the first time with the staff of the General Coordination of Technological Universities in the country to install the Technical Committee of the Technological University of Coahuila, a body authorized to operate the availability of federal and state resources for its operation from the following year. That same year, on Dec. 15, the Decree creating the Technological University of Coahuila was published in the Official Gazette of the Government of the State of Coahuila, as a decentralized public agency of the state public administration. Twenty-four articles and four transitories are included in this publication, in which the governing bodies and their faculties, the purposes and the patrimony of the University are contemplated, as well as the bases for the relations of the personnel and the authorities, that are based on the Legal Status of Workers to the services of the State of Coahuila. The Technological University of Coahuila was created on the initiative of the State Government, under a new educational model, supported by the State Education Law reformed and updated by the government itself in May 1996, which recognizes the title of Higher University Technician within the level of higher education and for that purpose, since 1996 the TSU careers in Industrial Maintenance, Marketing and Production Processes were created after the feasibility studies were carried out.
