About the university
The Technological University of Manzanillo presents itself as an innovative option that will allow us to approach the present century, with a renewed approach, according to the needs of the port, customs, naval, tourist, industrial, construction and regional fishing activities of the State of Manzanillo. Colima and neighboring States to the Central Western Region of the country and that at the same time will constitute an alternative of higher education, given the growing educational demand of the graduates of the upper middle schools of the entity that do not find room in the Public Universities of the region for different reasons or their expectations of education are different from the current one. The Technological University of Manzanillo (UTeM) is a Public University considered, as a Decentralized Public Organism of the Government of the State of Colima, with legal personality and own inheritance and forms part of the National Subsystem of Technological Universities.
