About the university
The College of Michoacán AC (COLMICH), is an institution of research and teaching in social sciences and humanities that is part of the System of Research Centers of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt). It was founded in 1979 and had as an antecedent to El College of México . The College of Michoacán has seven postgraduate programs. Two masters : in Archeology and Human Geography; Four doctorate degrees in Anthropology, History, Social Sciences with specialization in rural studies and Human Sciences with specialties in the traditions). In addition, it has a doctorate degree in Social Sciences. Until 2010, more than three hundred students have graduated.
