About the university
Created in 1961 under the name "Statistics engineers work training center," the National Institute naming Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA) was adopted in 1967 under Royal Decree No. 532-67. This Decree was amended and supplemented, in particular by Decree No. 2-99-804 of 6 Chaoual 1420 (13 January 2000). - Until 1974, INSEA was limited to the training of application engineers of statistics in three years, and technical assistants in two years but since then, and given the significant needs in the field of IT , The Institute has introduced a cycle of training of Analytical Engineers and a cycle of Programmers. As a result, INSEA became the first institution in Morocco to train IT executives. INSEA therefore included four training cycles. - In 1983, a senior cycle of training of Analyst Designer and another of Statistician-Demographer were introduced. This year also saw the extension of the training period for application engineers to four years instead of three years in order to improve the level of this training. - In 1990, INSEA ended the training of middle managers (Deputy Technical and programmers) for reasons of entering the world of work and the difficulties in managing this type of training - In 1995, INSEA made a major change in its education system by offering training, over three years, leading to a diploma of INSEA State Engineer. - Starting in 2011, the INSEA training is organized in 3 cycles: Engineer Cycle, Master's Cycle, and Doctoral Cycle.
