As part of the decentralization policy, the Center for University Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences was created by Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 758-87 of 26 May 1987. Four years later Ministerial Decree No. 290-554 of 8 January 1991 transformed it into a faculty of humanities and humanities. Since then, the institution has continued to experience significant changes in the student, faculty and administrative staff, scientific and cultural activities, and infrastructure and equipment.
