About the university
The Central American University (UCA) is a non-profit private capital center of Nicaragua, also known as UCA. The university is run by the Catholic religious order of the Society of Jesus. It was founded by the Jesuits on July 23, 1960, being the first private university in Nicaragua and Central America, as an autonomous educational institution, public service and Christian inspiration. It is located on Avenida Universitaria, in Managua.
