About the university
With its 900 students, Lovisenberg Diakonale College (LDH) is one of Norway's largest nursing education programs and offers a bachelor's degree in nursing, several further and further education in nursing and health care and a master's degree. LDH is owned by the ideal foundation Diakonissehuset Lovisenberg. Høgskolen has quality and nest love as a foundation, and works to educate value conscious and practicing professionals. The college is co-located with hospitals, hospice, guesthouses, nursing homes, kindergarten and church at Lovisenberg Lovisenberg in the north of Oslo, which allows for community and cooperation. Cathinka Guldberg is Norway's first professional nurse and started nursing education with two students in Greenland in Oslo in 1868. She founded Diakonissehuset that year and the business moved to Lovisenberg in 1888. The university college, as it appears today, was established on August 1, 1994, based in Diakonissehus and Betania's Nursing School, and was named Lovisenberg Diakonale College.
