About the university
PAF Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) was established in 1997. KIET received recognition by the Higher Education Commission (formerly named UGC) vide letter no. 15-22/UGC-SEC/97/1291 dated 1 August 1998. HEC ranks KIET as 8th best university in Business/IT category. KIET was awarded a degree-granting status through a charter from the government of Sindh on 24 May 2000. KIET has also been granted NCEAC Accrediation for its BSCS, MCS program. Our mission is to educate the whole person, graduating students who seek purpose-filled lives. Our academic programs are designed to prepare students to meet challenges of the fast-changing and developing world. The PAF-KIET Main Campus, spread over 22 acres, is situated at PAF Korangi Creek, Karachi. It is located within 15-20 minutes drive from multiple points (Baloch Colony Overpass and FTC) on Shahrah-e-Faisal and is easily accessible. The educational complex at this campus has custom-built infrastructure that enables professional education in a peaceful environment. Purpose built building structures, open spaces and green lawns, and diversity of students creates a stimulating and lively campus environment.
