Founded in 1980, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large city of Muzaffarabad (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Azad Kashmir. Officially accredited/recognized by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJKU) is a small (enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJKU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. AJKU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
