West Bay College

Private participation in education aimed at producing excellent and globally competitive graduates is a most welcome development. Imbued with the mission to provide quality education, WEST BAY COLLEGES, INC. formally opened its doors to the first batch of 50 students in School Year 1996-1997 after the permits to offer six programs were approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Strategically located on the western shore of Laguna de Bay in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, WBC is at the crossroads to Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon or CALABARZON and, as such, it is accessible to students from southern Luzon and the cities of Las Piñas, Parañaque, Taguig, Makati, Pasay and Pasig. With Bachelors of Science in Maritime Transportation and Marine Engineering as its flagship courses, the college operates on full speed in its quest for excellence. Its other course are B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Computer Science and Associate in Computer Secretarial. Early classes were held at Pauline Building 1 on the Wawa Campus along Bunye Street. Later in October 1996, the groundbreaking for Pauline Bldg. 2 was held.
