About the university
Jan Amos Komeński State School of Higher Vocational Education in Leszno was established under the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland of 1 July 1999. The school formation significantly contributed to the development of Leszno and determined a new field of activity for the higher education sector of the Leszno region. Likewise all other 36 state schools of higher vocational education in the whole country, we provide first-cycle degree programmes. The school educates almost 1 800 students in full-time and part-time programmes. It offers a wide range of fields and specialisations of diversified study profiles. For several years, the school has been successfully organising training courses and postgraduate studies in different specialisations. Upon graduation, our students are awarded a professional title of licencjat or inżynier which is the Polish equivalent of the Bachelor’s degree. The degree enables them to continue studies in Master’s degree programmes at higher education institutions nationwide. A number of our students decide on entering Poznań universities with which Jan Amos Komeński State School of Higher Vocational Education has made cooperation agreements
