About the university
State Higher Vocational School in Nysa - public higher vocational school in Nysa was established on June 1, 2001 on the basis of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of April 10, 2001 on the initiative of the Opole and Wroclaw academic circles. The school is financed by a grant from the state budget and by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The educational activity of the institution is focused on allowing higher education students who do not have the opportunity to study in remote academic centers. The State Higher Vocational School in Nysa was established in 2001 by the idea of prof. Dr hab. Eng. Ryszard Knosali, then the adviser to the voivode of Opole. The school appeals to the traditions of the old Jesuit gymnasium, founded in Nysa in the 17th century by the Bishop of Wrocław and the Prince of Nysa Karol Habsburg, where the future king of Poland Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki was educated.
