About the university
The university was established in accordance with the Council of Ministers of 8 June 1968 as the School of Engineering in Koszalin . Act of 4 July 1996 and the Polish Parliament has decided that as of 1 September 1996, the name of the University will be replaced as Koszalin University of Technology. The university is currently seeking to obtain university status. Among the proposed name of the university appears among other things, "University Środkowopomorski." According Webometric Ranking of World Universities in January 2015 showing the involvement of academic institutions in existence on the Web, the university occupies 15th place in Poland among the technical universities, and in the world 2190. among all types of universities.
