About the university
Was established just after World War II , May 24, 1945 in Lodz. At the beginning of the established three departments: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Textile Department. For the first year of study assumed 525 students, and in later years continued studying 458 students. In college, there were 33 departments with 33 professors, 15 assistant professors and 53 assistants. In 1976, Technical University of Lodz was awarded the Order of the Banner of Labor first class. In the ranking of higher education institutions in 2014 the educational magazine "Perspectives" Technical University of Lodz was the fourth technical university in Poland. She was also the winner of the competition for the "most innovative and creative university in Poland in the creation of career prospects 2014.
