Admission Requirements The following may apply to the cycle of studies that leads to the mestre degree a) holders of a licenciado degree or legal equivalent; b) Holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a State that adheres to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae that is recognized by the statutorily competent body of ULHT as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. Objectives The Course in Documentary Filmmaking has as its main objective the promotion of research and criticism regarding the practices, methodologies and epistemological and aesthetic bases of the creation and production of documentary cinema. As complementary objectives should be mentioned: - the promotion of research on documentary cinema at a national and European level; - the promotion of media literacy studies and practices around the analysis, study and production of documentary cinema documentary cinema; - the integration of the study of documentary cinema in the training program in cinema and media of Lusófona University at the second cycle level; - the reinforcement of the training and research capacity of the Universidade Lusófona in the areas of cinema and ausiovisual - the promotion of reflection and criticism around documentary cinema; - the promotion of the European and international integration of research and creative practice around documentary cinema through the potential that derives from the accreditation of this course as an Erasmus Mundus Master.
