Objectives - To promote basic and interdisciplinary broadband training that integrates theoretical and technical knowledge, applied to the areas of theory and communication models, sound arts, sound technologies, audiovisual production and directing; - To adapt the training profile and the content of the curricular units to the characteristics and effective needs of the national and European labour market in this sector, namely according to the permanent technological evolutions that this sector undergoes and the consequent professional updating that this implies; - To broaden the spectrum of training offered by the University in the area of cinema, video, communication, art and multimedia, autonomizing a central area of professionalization and artistic creation such as sound; - To create a scientifically solid and pedagogically well articulated study plan, which provides its addressees with the necessary competences for future professional practice and for the continuation of scientific studies in more advanced cycles of training; - To reinforce the international dimension of the course and its integration in the European Higher Education Area. Employability Audio production and sound design namely in the context of audiovisual and multimedia production and of shows; Audio post-production and sound design in audiovisual and multimedia projects for digital media; Sound equipment and technologies; Research in the areas of communication and sound arts.
