About the university
Constanta Maritime University is a higher education and research institution, an academic community formed by teaching staff, auxiliary teaching staff, students, technical and administrative staff. The executive leadership of the University is ensured by the Rector, assisted by three vice-rectors, a general administration manager and by the secretariat general. The supreme decision forum is the University Senate, formed by 28 members (teaching staff and representatives of the students), which meets in periodic sessions and through permanent commissions for decision making. the mission of Constanta Maritime University is to: 1. Train future professionals for transport related activities and develop research activities in related scientific domains, by acknowledging competition as main progress factor and quality management as main means for a continuous development of the educational and research process. 2. Promote education and research in accordance with the requirements of a knowledge-based society, through education, continuous learning and integration in the circuit of universal valuaes. 3. Bring a contribution to the local, regional and national development, through the involvement of academics at a social, economic and cultural level.

Accommodation
The university offers accommodation in its hostels. Each room can host 3 to 4 students. Rooms are provided with good conditions for study, sleeping and relaxing. THey include bathroom, cable Tv and internet services. Each floor has its own laundry facilities and spaces for cooking (with tableware, cutlery and refrigerators). The monthly fee is about 100 euro and can be subject to changes.
Scholarships
After the ending of the first academic year, the university makes an assessment of the academic results of the students, and based on very good academic results, minimum 9.50 average, the university submits proposal for grants of studies to the Ministry of Education.
