About the university
Based on art. 3 of Decree no. 25/1949, for the establishment of the Militia, and Article 6 of the Statute of Militia personnel, through M.A.I. no. 2S75 of 20 October 1949 and Order no. 66 of October 22, 1949 of the General Director of the Militia, it was decided to set up the School of Military Officers in Bucharest at the School of Major Sergeants at Ilie Pintilie Boulevard no.5, the commander of the school being Lt. Col. Damian Ion. "The purpose of the school is to prepare militia officers to fill vacancies in the militia organization states with well-qualified staff. Candidates for the admission contest are recruited from the labor force, soldiers in militias or from the army, as well as from the non-commissioned officers in the militia and proposed by the hierarchical chiefs. "By Order No. 66 of October 22, 1949 of the General Manager Of the Militia, the Higher School of Personnel was transferred to the Militia Officers School as a separate subunit, whose courses began on August 23, 1949.
