“Dimitrie Cantemir” University

The university debuted in the Romanian educational landscape in 1991, being the first private university in Transylvania and the second in Romania. Through the values it promotes, “DimitrieCantemir” University has an important position in the Romanian educational-scientific landscape. The university condones its efforts towards the line of the European context, aiming at forming and developing a democratic Romania within the globalization process, giving a space that boosts intellectual development and the creation of a favorable framework for the contact between the students of various ethnicities. The university encourages the highest objectives, both in its didactic staff and its students, by challenging them to an endless cultural pursuit. Being subjected to a continuous development, the University added to its first-formed faculty – Law School, new lines of academic development: the Faculty of Economical Sciences with 3 specializations, Finances-Banks, The Economy of Tourism and Services, Accountability and Management Informatics; The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences with 2 specializations: Special Psychology and Psycho-pedagogy; The Faculty of Geography with the specialization: The Geography of Tourism. The instructive-educational activity, as well as the theoretical and applicative-practical activities of the four faculties unfolds within the confines of the “DimitrieCantemir” campus.
